Comrades & Sisters:

Wow! Another two months have flown by and it is newsletter time already. We had a busy two months and we have a lot coming up the next two.

We tried something new last month in the form of a Wild Game Day and it turned out well. Thanks to Jerry Brady, Paul Mynier, Keith Gillespie, Don Leighty and myself were able to put out a lot of good venison, goose, duck, squirrel, and fish dishes for all to enjoy. We, with the help of ladies and men’s auxiliary were able to give the friendship food pantry $760 and a big box of food and paper products. Good job everyone.

We lost our bar manager and picked up a new one. I would like to thank CC for all she has done for this club, and wish her well. We hope she sticks around and continues bartending for us. This commander thinks she has done a great job and wishes her well!! Our incoming bar manager is Chastity. I hope you all welcome her and make her feel right at home. I’m sure she will do a great job.

November is Thanksgiving and I hope you all have a great one. It is also poppy time and I hope you will all.sign up for a time slot. This is one thing that we do here at the post where we all can help. Please don’t just sit at the bar and talk. Take just two hours at one of our local stores and help. This is OUR club and we need all of you to be involved so we can thrive and contribute to our community. We will also have a job fair here at the post. Look for signs when we set a definite date.

Well, I’ve rambled enough and haven’t covered halfof what I should say. Check your newsletter for what’s going on, and please get involved! Remember that Christmas and New Years fall on Wednesday this year!!!!! The drawings for those two Wednesdays will be held on Mondays!
