It has been a busy two months. Our bake sale was another success.Because of this, we were able to makecontributions to the VFW National Home, VFW State Veteran’s Home and help a fellow member out with her medical expenses. Thanks to Diane Nichter, Gladys Neal, Janet Allen, Judy Flowers and Deb Wallen for volunteering their time for this event.

I would like to thank Flo Glick for standing in at the last minute and helping me with the Wednesday night dinner. She also brought cupcakes which were delicious. Thanks again, Flo.

Janet Allen and Judy Flowers are busy putting clips on poppies for our November Poppy Sales. Watch for their clever idea when you buy your poppy on November 9th and 10th. It’s a neat idea. Thanks, guys!

Bonnie Hall and her elves are busy again planning the Children’s Christmas Party for December 1st at 2:00pm. Be sure to bring in the coupon from this newsletter by November 23, so we will have some idea how many to plan for. Annette Hullinger, District Senior Vice President, visited our Post for our Auxiliary inspection on October 11th. She was impressed with the participation of our members. Thanks, Annette, for visiting and thanks everyone else for being great members.

Bonnie Hall, our decorating chairman, needs lots of help for the upcoming holidays. On November 3rd at 1:00pm, she has scheduled decorating for Veteran’s Day and November 24th at 1:00pm, she has scheduled decorating for Christmas. Please show up to help.

Don’t forget to send a Christmas card to a serviceman when you say that prayer.

I wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.

Marcia Smith
Ladies Auxiliary President
